Rashee Rice apologizes for ‘my part’ in crash while injured couple reportedly lawyer up

There is plenty to be sorted out in the crash allegedly caused by Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice’s car, and it appears at least two people involved don’t want him to get off lightly.

A Dallas couple injured in the hit-and-run collision Saturday allegedly involving Rice has hired an attorney and is considering their legal options, according to the Dallas Morning News. The pair were reportedly traveling to a friend’s 50th birthday party when two vehicles, one allegedly containing Rice, slammed into their white Lexus SUV.

The couple’s car reportedly spun across the highway until it hit a wall (you can see the incident on video here). The two were reportedly taken to a hospital and are now recovering at home. The woman reportedly sustained a “significant laceration” above her left eye that required multiple stitches in her eyelid, plus a swollen and bruised right

Kansas City Chiefs’ Rashee Rice was driving the Lamborghini in high-speed Dallas crash, lawyer says

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice was driving a Lamborghini involved in a multi-vehicle crash before walking away from the scene, his lawyer said Thursday.

Rice’s attorney, Royce West, said during an afternoon press conference that Rice has answered every question asked to him by Dallas police, including if he was directly involved.

“Mr. Rice acknowledged that he was driving the Lamborghini, that was the question that was asked,” West said. “He responded to that. That he was driving the Lamborghini.”

On Wednesday, Rice apologized to those affected by a high-speed crash over the weekend in Dallas and said he takes “full responsibility for my part in this matter.”

Rice posted the apology on Instagram, marking his first public comments on the incident.

“Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday’s accident,” the post said. “I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will

Attorney for crash victims speak about case involving Rashee Rice

The rental company’s attorney said Rice was in touch with them after the accident, admitted there had been a wreck, and acknowledged the need to pay for damages.

DALLAS — An attorney representing a luxury car rental company in Dallas told WFAA Kansas City Chief wide receiver Rashee Rice had leased the Lamborghini involved in a major crash on Central Expressway and was contractually the only person who could drive it.

Attorney Kyle Coker said Rice was in touch with the company soon after the accident, admitted there had been a wreck, and acknowledged the need to pay for damages.

But Coker said since that initial contact Rice has gone “radio silent.”

He said Rice also did not tell the company who was behind the wheel.

The Lamborghini and a Corvette, also registered to Rice, were traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Central Expressway around 6:20 p.m.
